A three weapon team competition (foil , epee, sabre). Teams may be mixed or single sex.
Entry is £60 per team, with a £30 late entry surcharge for teams entering after the closing date of Midnight 18th May 2025.

Please note that entries with 'TBC' (or similar) for fencers and/or BFA numbers will not be deemed as entered until all of the fencers & their details are completed. If they are not completed by the entry closing date, they will be scratched unless they provide full details and pay the late entry surcharge of £30.
There is a winner's trophy and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.The competition is run in memory of our late club President Bob Grange, and the emphasis is on participating and having fun - something Bob really epitomised.
The club encourages all members to take part regardless of experience and for members to consider fencing alternate weapons to enable teams to be formed.
The competition will be capped at 12 teams to ensure a reasonable end time.
The anticipated format is:
- Italian relay to 30 points (5 minutes of fencing time per fight);
- 2 rounds of poules. No cut. Followed by Direct Elimination. No repechage or playing for places.
Check-in closes at 9:15am ready to fight at 9:30am.
Background
Robert ('Bob') Grange took up fencing in his early seventies, attending one of the Northampton Fencing Club beginner's courses. He took to the sport immediately and quickly became proficient at all three weapons, although Epee was his favourite. His enthusiasm was boundless and he always had a smile on his face. In no time at all, he became a fixture at the club. The cadets referred to him affectionately as 'Mister Bob'. He was a true old-school Gentleman and everyone loved him. So, he was the obvious choice when the post of Club President became available. He took the post on, considering it a privilege and made it his own. He held the post until his sudden passing in March 2018. The Committee decided that the Club should run an annual memorial competition in memory of Bob. Given Bob's love of all three weapons, it seemed fitting that it should be a team competition, covering all three disciplines and so The Bob Grange Cup was created.
Eligibility for Competition
All fencers must be aged 13 or over.
All fencers must hold a current, valid British Fencing (or equivalent) membership which allows competing in this level of competition.
